About Gridchinhall
![]() "You would ask: «what is this?» and «what is it for?». The most of modern artists have got projects, whitch are not realizable in gallery format. We are orientated on just those very original projects and ideas in contemporary art and culture. The prerequisite for non-profit art project’s realization from the very “zero” is the intersection of many necessary conditions in a single point. My private initiative as Gridchinhall creator is to found such a point. The main priority for the exhibition hall is performing significant culture events of the high artistic and public value.
I believe that Gridchinhall has a good luck in case of location. Nearest Moscow area, Dmitrovskoe village on Ilynskoe shosse is exceptionally beauty spot. This place is known since XV century, and it is situated on old Big Tsar Way to Zvenigorod. Nearness to prestige “Rublevka” is more geographic; Gridchinhall welcomes everyone’s interest in contemporary art, regardless of residence places. Exhibition hall has its own special feature. That is a proximity to the nature, which has already become a part of some expositions.
Exhibition hall was founded in autumn 2009. Since that time several full-scale art projects were carried out. These are “Rembrandt’s Drawings” by Dmitriy Gutov, “Red People. Art-Constructor” by “Pprofessors” group, “Kulik’s Hair” by Dmitry Kawarga.
Gridchinhall is also concieved as a residence for artists, kind of space for cross-cultural exchange. During work on projects artists live and work in studio, specially organized for these purposes in Gridchinhall.
Now it became possible to combine countryside trip with visiting a new contemporary art exhibition. This is common European custom. And Gridchinhall’s plans are to continue performing European level art projects."
